MAKE YOUR END OF YEAR GIFT TODAY
What a year! At the Orange Show, we’ve been hard at work creating bold, unforgettable experiences that bring art to life in all its forms. Whether it’s art cars or beer cans, hands-on crafts, ambitious conservation projects, or building a big wooden temple in our own backyard, we’ve found so many ways to connect with our community.
As we look toward 2025, we’re inviting you to help us keep that momentum going. Your support will continue to restore cultural landmarks, spark creativity in new neighborhoods, provide in-school arts education opportunities, and open doors for more people to discover the artist within themselves.
Here’s just a glimpse of what we’ve accomplished this year, thanks to supporters like you:
-
Bringing the Art Car Museum home: With a generous gift from the South Texas Charitable Foundation, we’re relocating this iconic institution to our campus, honoring Ann Harithas’ legacy and keeping the art car tradition alive year-round.
-
Restoring the Orange Show Monument: A prestigious Save America’s Treasures grant has made it possible to breathe new life into this cultural landmark. Along the way, we’ve partnered with University of Houston for a first-of-its-kind course, giving students hands-on training in preserving visionary art.
-
Art Cars & Art Bikes in Schools: Thanks to our partnership with Team Gillman, ten used cars each year are donated to local elementary, middle, and high schools for the purpose of creating new Art Cars, facilitated by our Art Car Education Team. In addition, over 100 area schools create stunning Art Bikes in their classroom to present at the annual Houston Art Bike Parade.
-
The Houston Temple: Built by world-renowned sculptor David Best, his Temple Crew, and over 100 local volunteers, this stunning temporary installation welcomed 20,000 visitors before culminating in a moving performance series.
-
The Houston Art Car Parade: Our biggest yet — 260,000 spectators, nearly 300 entries, and more than 40 area schools celebrated the colorful, creative spirit that makes this city special.
-
300+ creative programs: From ZineFest and Smither Park Sundays, to creative arts classes like Welding and Mosaics, and The Happening — our experimental performance series, we’ve brought brought diverse audiences together to create, connect, and celebrate art in all its forms.
-
New leadership: This year, we welcomed acclaimed artist and longtime Orange Show friend Jack Massing as our new Executive Director. His fresh vision and passion for creativity are already inspiring us to dream even bigger.
None of these achievements would be possible without the passion and dedication of our supporters, staff, and board. Together, we’ve built something truly special—a place where creativity thrives, art feels accessible, and everyone is invited to join in.
Now, as we look toward the future, we’re asking for your help to take the next step. Your gift will help us expand programs, deepen partnerships, and bring art into even more communities. Every dollar fuels the kind of creativity and connection that make the Orange Show a place unlike any other.
Thank you for believing in what we do and for being part of this journey. With your support, we can make 2025 our most creative year yet. Here’s to another year of celebrating the artist in everyone!
